TWO DAY WORKSHOPS
Create a chicken wire sculpture approx 2’ to 3’ high.
Instruction on basic anatomy, armature, wire lacing, and construction techniques.
Your choice of subject.
Introduction to sculpting with chicken wire made for the Sooke Fine Arts Show - 1hour
Two-day Weekend Workshops
Classes run from 9am to 4pm with an hour or so for lunch.
(bring your own lunch or join me at a local restaurant)
Approx 10 hours total for the 2 days.
It usually runs along these lines...
During the week, I will contact you to find out what you want to make and where it will be mounted. I will create a pattern for you approx. 2' x 2' - ready for you when you come on Saturday.

Wire sculpture examples shown and discussed
Basic anatomy covered
Working with tools and materials
Creating cylinders and lacing techniques
11am to noon
Discuss individual challenges and methods
Begin construction.
noon to 1pm
Lunch at a local cafe or bag lunch. your choice.
1pm to 4pm
Building layers and construction.
Sunday
9am to noon
Work on construction and layering
noon to 1pm
Lunch at a local cafe or bag lunch. your choice.
1pm to 3pm
Refining and embellishing the forms
Spray painting
-white paint supplied, bring other colours if required
3pm to 4pm
Finishing
Photos
Times may vary depending on the complexity of the sculptures but
